Fadhili Dada Sponsorship

Fadhili Dada Sponsorship Program

This is a refuge for young mothers/pregnant girls, many of whom have faced abuse and have been rejected by their families. Left without support or a way to provide for themselves and their babies, they are often vunerable to falling into exploitation, including prostitution, which tragically exposes their children to abuse as well.

OUR MISSION

Is to offer them a safe and nurturing environment -

providing food, shelter, and education. We aim to create a safe haven where these young mothers feel loved, cared for, and shown the compassion of Christ. With this support, they can return to school while their children are cared for in our daycare facility.

Fadhili Dada Sponsorship

Your sponsorship of $35 a month will directly meet the physical needs of both mother and child, empowering these young women to rebuild their lives until they can stand on their own.

When enrolling, both mother and child will be registered. Mothers are expected to volunteer at the daycare at least once a week and participate in morning devotion, a 12 step recovery program, and a responsible motherhood class. A clinical counselor will be available to provide counseling to mothers during the day at the daycare.

Florence Awino and Kate

Florence Awino, a young mother of 18, with a child suffering from sickle cell disease, attended an education symposium and participated in a peer-to-peer concession. Unable to recall the name of her child's father, Florence sought help from Fadhili Dada. At Fadhili Dada's safe house, she found the care and attention her child, Kate, needed to improve and maintain her health. Over the years, Kate's condition has improved significantly, and Florence has been able to return to school.

Kate, now 2 years old, and her mother arrived at Fadhili Dada Center two years ago. Kate was severely malnourished and has been receiving weekly medication to manage her sickle cell anemia.

Beril Ashley and Adrian

Beril Ashley's background is unclear; it is unknown whether she is orphaned or if her parents are still alive. She was rescued from the streets of Siaya town. An elderly woman she refers to as her grandmother took her in and later brought her to a children's home. Recognizing that Beril had learning disabilities, the children's home enrolled her in a hairdressing course at a technical institute. It was there that she encountered a man who sexually exploited her. She has no memory of the man's identity or where he came from. The children's home in Siaya recently reached out to Fadhili Dada to request a safe haven for Beril.
