Prayer is Powerful

The power of prayer should not be underestimated.  James 5:16 - 18 declares: "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops." God most definitely listens to prayers, answers prayers, and moves in response to prayers."

Through out the years of Hands of Africa's existence, we have had so many months, where we did not know how we would provide for all the children in our care, where it seemed impossible that this months food would be paid, or expenses for the seminary would be paid.  But because of the faitful prayer of so many people, God always provided.

What you can pray for:

That God will continue to use our ministry effectively.

Pray for the leaders of Hands on Africa, that they would always walk in guidance with God and never stray from his purpose and plans.

Pray for provision.  As a non profit, we are dependant on the contributions of others to continue our work, to care for the our orphans and continue our theological seminary.

Pray for our lecturers in our theological seminary.  Our lecturers are all volunteers and come from all over the world.  Pray that God will give them an abundance of His wisdom.

Pray for our children.  Pray that they will continue to honor and seek God wholeheartedly.  They go through tremendous tribulations that most of us can not even begin to comprehend.  Pray that they will always feel God's love and that even though it might feel as if they world do not want them, they are wanted by the Father of all.

And most importantly do not forget to praise God for that which He has done already and for that which He will still do.

Thank you for praying for us, we would like to return the favour, and if you have anything that you would like us to pray for you please send  a prayer request and we will include you in our prayers as well.
